Barrow Music Weekender was back for a fifth year from 9th-12th 2025 with live music in established & pop up venues, DJ’s, classical music, musical theatre, choral singing, rock music, a sound/light installation, workshops & parades … something for everyone! This year students from SLRS were heavily involved in planning content for the event in addition to advertising & promoting too!

The ‘Barrow Music Teen Steering Group’ (Alva, Alfie, Gray, Sarah & Tilly) took over CANDOFM for an evening with an inspiring programme showcasing events across the weekend. They also spent an afternoon giving out event flyers in the town centre in addition to being part of the Under 18’s music performances over the weekend!
